Puppy Love
Looking back, being a dog lover was my destiny although I knew it not. One of my favorite childhood movies was "Lady and the Tramp" about two adventurous dogs and their budding romance and love of Italian food. The reason I was so drawn to this movie has only recently become obvious. It was a flashpoint (an indication of something that lies ahead).
My dearest friend is a life coach and coaches people to create vision boards which consists of flipping through magazines to cut out images and words you are attracted to. She believes by creating and seeing the vision board you inevitably move towards those things in life. As a seven year old, I was attracted to "Lady and the Tramp" because being a dog lover was already in my heart. It just took me 29-years to fully recognize and embrace this part of me.
I believe there are things in my heart that I still don't know or recognize, but it will be revealed in its perfect time. For now I am enjoying this newly discovered treasure of dog-loving. I have been blessed with the World's Greatest Dog Seattle. He is playful, active, affectionate and agreeable. Everyday I appreciate his company, unconditional love and his ability to remind me to play and enjoy nature.
Ps. My friend Ayla and I recently approached an absolute stranger to ask if we could pet his chocolate labrador puppy. My heart melted as we gushed while petting him. Lab puppies are the cutest of all. Aren't they?
