Baume les Messieurs

Below are the photos from our hiking trip last weekend in the Jura mountains of France.  As you can see, it was the land of waterfalls.  The hike was aimed at visiting the different falls nestled in the woods and also a few caves.  A highlight of the trip was staying at the L'Abbey in the Village of Baume les Messieurs.  We stayed at a lovely rustic B&B within the village located in the valley of the mountains.  The village had lovely gardens, cafes, and restaurants.  Joe and I did not want to leave.  Fortunately, the village is located less than two hours away!

Seattle loved running in the mountains and climbing behind the waterfalls which terrified us, yet we can't keep him from being wild at heart.  This was the life he was made for.
