2013

I have a plethora of thoughts and ideas for 2013, but the word that most resonates with me is authenticity.  This means being true to myself, sincere in relationships and keeping it real.

In honor of staying true to myself, I wore a tie to a New Year's Eve party this year!  I did this only once before for my sixth grade school photo.  I have always considered ties to be dapper!
A few ambitions for 2013:
  • Family -  I plan to focus my energy and efforts to building a fun-loving and life-giving family. I want to stay focused on the treasures in front of me, and create beautiful memories and moments with my husband and daughter.  This is my highest aspiration.
  • Sweet talking - I could get better at this.  I would like to get better at saying exactly what I mean, but always in a kind, respectful way.  It's a classier way to live.
  • Time management - Time is more valuable than ever now that Pepper has rocked our world!  I would like to waste less time this year on gadgets, running errands, and being task oriented.  I would like to spend more time snuggling on Saturday mornings, taking long Sunday walks, and having conversations with friends and family over coffee and skype.
  • Organization - I have a small dream of having a well-organized home in which everything has a bin and label.  I desperately need to develop systems of organization.
  • Dance - I feel alive and happy when I am dancing which is I am making my Body Jam class a priority in the New Year.
  • Blog - I have all kinds of ideas for having more fun with the blog this year!  I would like to include favorite fashion trends, recipes, music, art, and moments in the family.  Stay tuned!
Happy New Year!
